Privacy Policy

Overview
Lynsoft LLC (“we,” “us”) operates the Oxidock marketing website and distributes the Oxidock desktop application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
The website and the desktop app are designed differently: the app runs locally on your machine and does not phone home, while the website may collect limited information when you browse or request a download.
Desktop application
The Oxidock desktop app does not require an account, does not include telemetry, and does not send container data or usage statistics to us by default. Configuration, engine connections, and container operations stay on your device unless you explicitly use features that communicate with services you configure.
The optional in-app AI assistant, when enabled, runs against a local model on your machine unless you configure it otherwise. We do not receive prompts or responses from that feature.
You can verify this behavior in the open-source project repository.
Information we collect on the website
Download form. When you request a macOS download, we may collect:
- First and last name
- Email address
- Country
- Company name
- Release tag, download filename, and referring page URL
- Timestamp of submission
We use this information to facilitate the download, understand aggregate interest in releases, and—only if you opt in—send Oxidock updates and product news. Submissions are processed by our server and forwarded to a secure webhook endpoint operated for Lynsoft LLC.
After a successful download request, this site may store your submitted download details locally in your browser (for example, in local storage) so you are not asked to enter them again on repeat visits from the same device and browser. You can clear this by choosing “Use a different email” in the download dialog or by clearing site data for this website in your browser settings.
Analytics. When configured, we use Plausible Analytics to measure aggregated traffic to this site. Plausible does not use cookies for tracking, does not collect personal profiles, and does not follow you across other websites. See the Plausible data policy for details.
Server logs. Our hosting infrastructure may automatically record technical data such as IP address, request time, user agent, and requested URL for security, abuse prevention, and reliability. These logs are retained for a limited period and are not used for advertising.
How we use information
We use website data to:
- Provide download links and respond to your request
- Send product updates when you have given consent
- Understand site usage in aggregate through privacy-friendly analytics
- Protect the website from abuse and maintain service reliability
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information.
Legal bases (EEA and UK visitors)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom:
- Consent — for optional marketing communications when you agree at download
- Legitimate interests — for aggregated analytics, security logging, and operating the download flow
- Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose information under applicable law
Retention
Download form records are kept for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes above, unless a longer period is required by law. You may request deletion of marketing contact details at any time. Server logs are retained for a limited operational window and then deleted or aggregated.
Sharing and processors
We share website data only with service providers that help us operate the site—such as hosting, analytics, and the webhook used to store download leads—and only as needed for those services. Those providers are bound by contractual obligations to protect your information.
Release binaries are hosted on GitHub; downloading a file may be subject to GitHub's own privacy practices.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information, or to object to certain processing and withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact legal@lynsoft.io. We will respond within a reasonable time and as required by applicable law.
International transfers
Lynsoft LLC is based in the United States. If you access the website from outside the U.S., your information may be processed in the U.S. or in other countries where our service providers operate. We take steps designed to protect your information consistent with this policy.
Children
The website and software are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be posted on this page.
